The Horizon Black version of the F6FPHN-3ZW-EU1 is equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. Compared to the earlier Fairphone (Gen. 6), a newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor was used and the operating memory was increased from 8 to 12 GB, thanks to which the phone provides greater performance reserves to handle multiple applications at the same time, more demanding software and subsequent versions of the Android system.

One of the most important features of the Fairphone remains its modular design. The phone has been designed so that many components can be replaced by yourself without specialized service. This includes the battery, screen, USB-C port, cameras and other components. If after a few years the battery loses capacity or the screen is damaged, the user can replace a specific part instead of the entire phone. This solution allows you to extend the real life of the device and reduce repair costs and the amount of electronic waste.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 is an eight-core system made in 4 nm technology, the strongest core of which reaches a frequency of up to 2.7 GHz. Combined with 12 GB of LPDDR5 memory, it ensures smooth operation of Android, communication and office applications, social networking sites, navigation, multimedia and many popular games. A larger amount of RAM allows you to keep more applications in the background and gives you more options for the next years of using the phone.

256 GB of internal memory is allocated for data. Additionally, Fairphone has retained the microSD slot, which is increasingly rare in smartphones, and supports cards with a capacity of up to 2 TB. The user can therefore store a large library of photos, videos, music and documents without having to purchase additional cloud space. The memory card slot is independent of the nano-SIM, so you can use a physical SIM, eSIM and microSD card at the same time.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.31-inch LTPO pOLED display with a resolution of 2484 × 1116 pixels. An adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz ensures smooth page scrolling, animations and a more convenient interface, while LTPO technology allows you to lower the refresh rate when the full 120 Hz is not needed, helping to reduce energy consumption. On the front there is a 32 Mpix camera intended for selfies and video calls. The phone also allows you to record video in resolution up to 4K.

5G network support allows you to use fast data transmission on compatible mobile networks. Dual SIM is implemented via a physical nano-SIM and eSIM card, which allows, for example, to use a private and business number at the same time or to easily add a local data package while traveling. Wi-Fi 6E also enables use of the 6 GHz band with compatible routers, while Bluetooth 5.4 is used to connect headphones, watches, car audio systems and other wireless devices. NFC enables, among other things, contactless payments.

The user-replaceable battery has a capacity of 4415 mAh. The ability to easily replace the battery is one of the biggest practical advantages of the Fairphone over most modern smartphones. After a few years, when the battery naturally loses some of its capacity, you can replace it with a new one without having to replace the entire device. The phone supports wired fast charging with a power of up to 30 W via USB-C.

Fairphone (Gen. 6+) has an IP55 protection class, making it resistant to dust to a degree that limits its harmful effects and to water jets. The structure has also been designed for increased resistance to impacts and falls. The use of replaceable elements does not mean sacrificing the durability needed in everyday use.

The Fairphone Moments switch allows you to quickly activate a simplified mode of using the phone, limiting distracting applications and notifications. The user can prepare a set of the most important applications and in one move go to a minimalist environment intended, for example, for work, rest, study or time spent with family. The solution allows you to limit distractions without having to completely turn off the smartphone.

The Fairphone (Gen. 6+) is a particularly interesting solution for people who want to use one phone for many years instead of regularly replacing the device with a new one. The combination of modular design, replaceable battery, memory expansion with a microSD card, 12 GB RAM, newer Snapdragon processor, 120 Hz OLED screen, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and modern cameras means that you do not have to give up the functions expected from a modern smartphone.
